Anyone who performs advanced esthetic services in Minnesota must have an Advanced Practice Esthetician Operator or Advanced Practice Esthetician Salon Manager License; this 证书项目 offers the knowledge, 技能实践, and state exam preparation to ready you for advanced licensure.

Through a combination of classroom-based learning and a hands-on salon practicum, you’ll learn to safely perform advanced esthetic services such as dermaplaning, 皮肤针刺, 先进的提取, 磨皮, chemical peels and electrical energy treatments. You’ll take mock tests and prepare the paperwork needed for required state exams: the general theory exam, 实践笔试, and Minnesota laws and rules exam, issued by the Minnesota State Board of Cosmetology.

ESTH1201 - Salon Practicum AP Esthetician

在本课程中, students will work in a licensed school salon to meet requirements stipulated by the State Board of Cosmetology. The course includes instruction in applied science and skills in skin analysis, 客户咨询, dermaplaning or a machine exfoliation service, chemical peels (alpha hydroxy acids, 羟基酸, trichloroacetic acids and blended acid peels), electrical energy services (direct current, 间接电流, sound energy and light energy), advanced facial treatments using lymphatic drainage and 先进的提取, 皮肤针刺, and infection control and safety procedures. ESTH1903 - Advanced Exfoliation

This course will provide practical knowledge and practice of exfoliation using advanced chemicals and devices, including but not limited to BHA chemical peels, AHA化学换肤, TCA化学去皮, crystal and diamond 磨皮, hydro dermabrasion and dermaplaning. Students will learn to recognize and treat skin conditions, conduct advanced consultations, and perform client charting and health screening. Students will understand wound healing as it relates to advanced esthetics and proper pre- and post-surgical at-home care. This class will cover training in advanced product chemistry and ingredients.
